we are ladies who lunch... and thrift {aka thrifting on friday}

last friday boy's mum came to visit and before we shared a really nice birthday lunch with my mum we managed to get in some good thrifting.  the luck was with us that day, let me tell you.

the books at the val* are so much pricier than at the sal* but the selection is usually a little more, shall we say, recent 

i can be a label whore all i want.  it was my two dollars {well, four really}   i found two of these never used soft and fluffy 'polo' towels in my favorite yellow

speaking of yellow.... are you swooning?  yellow and perfect.  i haven't quite decided where it is going to go yet but i knew it was coming home with me, no matter what

boy's mum got a beautiful blanket and some holiday decorations and tons and tons of books.  can you believe i was able to find the three 'southern vampire mysteries' books i needed?  i always seem to find the best stuff when i go thrifting with her.  she is my lucky charm.

*the val is what we call 'value villiage' and the sal is 'the salvation army'.  just in case you were curious.
