Friday

five minutes and 99 cents later

"a certain country house has the following refinement at breakfast: the saucers are already in their
places at the table.  the guest pours his tea or coffee at a side table, and carries the cup without rattle to its waiting saucer.  thus, many a hangover remains unbetrayed."  british vogue october 15, 1973

i gave myself a five minute limit in the thrift store the other day.  i was determined not to fall down the rabbit hole into the linens and shoes and fabulous fall coats and miscellaneous goodness that could cost a girl an afternoon and the better part of the grocery budget.  perhaps i should try this more often.  less than five minutes and ninety-nine cents later i have a 1973 october issue of british vogue.  BRITISH VOGUE.  {that's right, capslock excited!}  everything old really is new again.
and the best part?  did you know they used to feature and entire spread of men's fashion?  me neither.  but they did and it was uh-mazing.
